Invasive Growth

THINK

A series of studies combining computation, fashion, nature, organic and man made materials.

The head piece is very much a biomimetic study of the cordyceps.

MAKE

We sent this piece to Shapeways because of its delicate nature. The neck piece was generated in processing using a photo of cordyceps and running it through a voronoi algorithm. It was then processed in Rhino and made into a 3D form.

We printed it on a Makerbot in three pieces, curved them by hand and joined them together.
